The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions.

Responsibilities

  • Be a leader and credible activist for your teams; exert influence to create positive change
  • Deliver HR support and programs to employees and managers, including performance management, learning and development, and employee relations
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience and partner with management to develop and implement innovative and sustainable solutions
  • Work with leaders to develop effective organizational structures to drive organizational health. Consult and coach management to build and serve high performing teams
  • Support human resources leadership to formulate, determine, and effectuate management policies regarding HR, including special access to confidential and sensitive personnel communication and records
  • Aligns conduct in performing all job duties and functions with human resources leadership goals and objectives, exercising good judgment in all interactions with Company employees
  • Conduct employee investigations, separations and exit interviews.
  • Key point of contact for all HR matters such as but not limited to benefits, compensation, training, payroll, and employee relations.
  • Audit time and attendance punches and approvals.
  • Assist in updating and developing content in the Learning Management System.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with an interest and aptitude to work in Human Resources.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR position including coaching, employee relations, training and HR program implementation
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication; must be clear, concise and articulate communicator

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • 8+ years of experience.
  • HRCI or SHRM certification.
  • Acute attention to detail and strong multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with little direction.
  • Ability to quickly and reasonably prioritize tasks.
  • An analytical mindset that thrives on formulating strategy and presenting data.
  • Highly organized with a strong sense of urgency.

Additional Requirements

  • Position may require extended hours and weekend work.
  • Able to travel for short and extended trips as needed. Up to 20% travel, mostly local to Las Vegas Metro area.
